परोपकारी के लक्षण Characteristics of benevolent

·         अपने स्वार्थ के बिना दूसरों की भलाई का कार्य करना. दूसरों को ख़ुशी, आराम, संतुष्टि और राहत देना.             दया, करुणा, सहानुभूति रख कर मदद करना.
·         औरों को ज्ञान व गुणों से भरना.

·         बुजुर्गों, विकलांगों, रोगियों, घायलों, अनाथ बच्चों की मदद व सेवा करना.

·         घायल पशु-पक्षियों की मदद करना. उन पर हिंसा न करना. मॉस न खाना.

·         रक्तदान, नेत्रदान, आदि करना.
      किसी को अपने पैरों पर खड़े होने में मदद करना.

·         नेकी कर कुँए में डालना. पर उपकार करके उसका गायन न करना. मदद करके स्वयम ही भूल जाना.

Working selflessly for benefit of others. Giving happiness, comfort, gratification and relief. Helping with the feelings of compassion, mercy, charity and sympathy. Filling others with knowledge and virtues. Helping the aged, disabled, weak, poor, patients, wounded and orphans. Helping the wounded animals and birds. Being non-violent and vegetarian. Donating blood, eyes etc. helping others to become earning and independent. Not mentioning the help rendered and forgetting the help done. 

कौन होगा / बन सकेगा परोपकारी? Who can be Benevolent?

जो सब के लिए स्नेह, शुभ भावना, शुभ कामना रखता होगा.

जो दयावान या रहमदिल होगा.

जो सहनशील व क्षमाशील होगा.

जो उदार ह्रदय व त्यागी होगा.
The one who has affection, auspicious feelings and good wishes for others. The one who is merciful, tolerant, forgiving, generous and sacrificing.

परोपकारी होने का फायदा Benefits of being benevolent.

वे रहीम नर धन्य है, पर उपकारी अंग।
बांटनवारे को लगे, ज्यों मेंहदी के रंग।।
कविवर रहीम कहते हैं कि जैसे मेंहदी बांटने वाले को स्वयम भी उसका रंग लग जाता है वैसे ही वे मनुष्य धन्य हैं जो परोपकार में लीन हैं। 

परोपकारी व्यक्ति क्योंकि औरों को सुख देता है अतः वह स्वयम भी सुखी बनता है. वह स्नेह देता है अतः स्नेह का पात्र बनता है. गुण दान करता है तो गुणी बनता है. धन दान देता है तो धनी बनता है. ज्ञान दान देता है तो ज्ञानवान बनता है. 
As the benevolent person gives pleasure and comfort to others he himself gets happiness and comfort automatically. When he gives affection he gets affection. When he makes others virtues he becomes more virtuous. When he donates or contributes money he becomes richer. When he distributes knowledge he becomes more knowledgeable.
